This cat, on the other hand, was its own animal. All cats give that impression, of course, but instead of the mindless animal self-absorption that passes for secret wisdom in the creatures, Greebo radiated genuine intelligence. He also radiated a smell that would have knocked over a wall and caused sinus trouble in a dead fox.
— Sir Terry Pratchett

The Original Sculpture

The original sculpture taking form...once finished, a high grade silicon mould was taken.

After the mould has been cast...

Next (much to Greebo's chagrin) they go into a hot, sudsy bath, to remove dust and any wax release used in the molds. This is also when sculptor Lyn Marie Nueunfeldt goes over every inch to make sure details are perfect before moving on.

The Eye

To make sure that every eye "glitters with the sins of angels", each sculpture features a hand blown glass eye with a custom infusion of gold leaf powder and liquid clay, and is hand set by Lyn, making every piece unique.

The Sanding Process & Kirby Estate Seal

Preparing the back of the sculpture for the insertion of the Kirby Estate Seal Coin (with help from Lyn's mum - also a master woodworker).
